Agreed, this is generally true, though personally as a trans woman, I prefer to refer to my child self with gender neutral terms. Others can refer to my child self with my current pronouns, or with gender neutral pronouns.

Last year I used freetaxusa.com, but this year that would not have been free for me due to my change in income. Which service is free depends on your state, income, and income complexity.

I never use my headphone jack. I don’t care if my next phone has one. Having wires attached to my phone is enormously inconvenient to me. Plus I have a thing where I need to be able to hear what’s going on around me, so I bought some Bose sunglasses and put prescription lenses in them. I love them. They definitely sacrifice on the bass, but I can wear them at work and still hear if someone knocks on my door or starts talking to me. They last about 5 or 6 hours and charge pretty quickly. Some therapists will help, others won’t. Some psych wards will help, others will give you more trauma. I recommend caution and research before telling a therapist about suicidal thoughts. I had a real bad experience at the behavioral health emergency center in Charlotte NC, and that wasn’t even overnight. I’ve heard good things about some residential places here in Oregon.

Just so you’re aware, it’s still not legal to grow them for yourself, or possess them or use them. It’s just that if you’re caught with them, you can only be given a fine or be required to do a drug program.
