The article says that the man is prohibited from owning firearms, so he probably has a felony or something. I’m not sure about California, but you wouldn’t need any kind of special license to own all of those guns and ammo in a lot of states.
Some people don’t attach value or sentimentality to $5 valentine’s day cards and would rather just spend time with their partner and spending time picking out a good card for each other can be fun. I personally like the funny ones so it can be fun to pick those out, show them to your partner, have a laugh together, and then put them back. The card brings the same amount of joy, but you don’t have to spend money or throw it away later.

You know, I would like to believe that these people are going to learn their lesson while in jail, but for some reason I doubt it. Disregarding acting ability, I don’t think Pattinson had the physicality for it; he didn’t look big enough to me to be believable. You could really tell the Batman costume had a lot of padding when you saw him as Bruce Wayne. I think he’s just too lithe, for the lack of a better descriptor, for the character, you know?
It’s a fantastic idea on paper; you, and another family, want to go on vacation but want to be more comfortable than in a hotel while renting your homes out while you’re gone so someone one else gets the same comfort and you get to make a little of money to help pay for the vacation. And everyone saves a little on their vacation accomodations to boot. Everyone wins! And then capitalism and greed happened and people turned the rentals into a business and ruined it.

I’m not informed enough on the specifics of why those two countries are/were against Sweden joining, so I can’t speak to that, but every member of the alliance has to approve new members, which is why anyone gives a shit what they think or want. Of course, a healthy alliance isn’t one that ignores its members, so even if their approval wasn’t required, it would probably still be best to get it.

It’s a rural town, so maybe a lot of the kids live in the country and are on wells instead of the town’s water tower?
