The remains of the youngest and one of the oldest captives seized by Hamas during the attack that ignited the war in the Gaza Strip are expected to be returned on Thursday, an Israeli official said Wednesday.

The handover, part of the ceasefire agreement that has paused the fighting in Gaza, will include the bodies of a mother and her two young children whose fate was uncertain and a retired journalist in his 80s, said the official who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

It was the first Israeli confirmation that the bodies of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, who were 4 years old and 9 months old when they were taken captive on Oct. 7, 2023, were being returned along with their mother Shiri. A grassroots forum representing hostage families also confirmed the names.

Hard to be sure when Israel mudered all the journalists. So why did they do that? Each person Israel killed had a life, a family and loved ones. They were all human beings with human rights. Each one as precious as these hostages. But Israel greives for the hostages and considers the journalists to be trash to be killed. Why?

The reason they were there was because of hamas Hamas chose to kidnap a baby How is that shadowed over the fact that hamas then tells that they were killed by Israel airstrikes

OK, and what happened before the kidnappings? Were the kidnappings the start of the conflict?

Not so simple is it. And Hamas tried immediately to trade the hostages they held for some of the 12K or so palestinian hostages being held indefinitely without charges in abusive prisons in israel. Israel said no to trading and proceeded to genocide all of Palestine. And these hostages died in the Israeli bombings, killed by US munitions along with countless innocent Palestinians who werent associated with Hamas. If Netenyahu hadnt wanted to use this incident to level gaza, those hostages could have been traded and home on October 8th. The Israeli government dindt care about Hamas’s Israeli hostages.

And do you remember the Israeli terrorists stroming Al aqsa mosque on Oct 4, conducting rituals, killing palestinians there and saying they would never leave? https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/10/4/israeli-settlers-storm-al-aqsa-mosque-complex-on-fifth-day-of-sukkot

They stormed the third most holy site in islam. This whole thing sure looks to have been engineered and manipulated by Israel, and they got exactly the bloodshed they wanted.

And why did Israel attack the west bank? Its a seperate place than gaza, run by different people, not hamas. It has nothing to do with gaza except that palestinians live there.

One last thing. Israel created hamas.

Listen man some of these things I agree with and with some I disagree but we were talking about whose fault is this To put the sole blame on Israel when Palestinian terrorist groups kidnapped them (from what I understand it wasn’t hamas) is a bit of a stretch

Also I’m not sure Hamas is the most reliable source of information here as they have everything to gain from saying the Israeli government did it. I don’t think we’ll ever know for sure, especially because it’s such a point of contention

Dear imperial propagandist… It’s worth noting that these people were murdered by zionists. Please fuck off with the misleading headlines.

The article in fact says this:

Hamas has said all four were killed in Israeli airstrikes while Israel had previously said it had ”grave concern” for the lives of the Bibas family.

Nowhere in the headline does it say who or what killed them, so you were never misled. It is you yourself who added new meaning to the headline by asserting without basis that it suggests Hamas was responsible. And you ended up having a strong emotional reaction to that meaning you invented.

If you have read the article past the headline before engaging in ad hominem, you would’ve known that the writer makes clear who said what on the responsibility for the deaths.

I mean Hamas wrote this propaganda. How young were the children they snatched? This more than anything shows they wanted everything that followed.
