‘Flooding the zone’
Patrick H Willems, particularly his ‘Star Wars Christmas Special’, is the reason I signed up to Nebula. He’s decidedly non-political.
I’ve been using YouTube as my primary source of entertainment since 2009. I don’t think I’ve looked at the trending page even once.
Has the internet ever been a ‘monoculture’?
We seem to be constantly hearing their opinions whether we want to or not anyway.
EVERYTHING’S COMPUTAH!
Lol. I only ever go to my subscriptions page.
Zeitgeist: Addendum kinda did that for me. But the book Voltaire’s Bastards was the real lynchpin well before that. Even before that, back in the late eighties, I read a book about the history of money that I borrowed from the Devonport library that really shaped my views about finances and showed me what a farce it all is, but I can in no way remember the title or author.

They enrage me to the point where I can’t even listen to him when people play clips to mock him.
I don’t mind them going into space. It’s the coming back I have a problem with.
In a nutshell, we all thought he was cool until we actually learned more about him.
I’m helping by using it as little as possible.
I like electric cars well enough for their simplicity and acceleration. It’s all the other computerised gubbins they hang off them that I dislike, and Teslas are the worst for that.
I saw an old VW Beetle that had been converted to electric on the road recently. I wonder how hard/expensive it would be to do that with my 2 when the engine dies.
I’ve been thinking about it, but I probably wouldn’t be able to run my driving sim gear on it. I think I might get a cheap second-hand laptop to play around with it, though.
And what are they going to do with that money they ‘saved’?
