It was revealed that Freeland was going to be fired anyways and she resigned just to try and save face.

She held 4 different minister positions over the last 10 years, the last one being minister of finance. (Funny how horribly our economy is right now, isn’t it?)

She had zero chance here. Even without Carney running, no one thought she was a going to be a good PM. If by some miracle she won the liberal race, she would have been slaughtered by Pierre.

Liberals have a real chance with Carney.

Why would we want to let him save face? Let the US collapse and let the world know he did it.
