My take on this is maybe a little calloused and mean but why is NASA involved in that decision? They hired contractors to take over the launch this part of their program. One of the contractors has an equipment problem snd that is on them to overcome in a safe manner. I don’t want the Boeing astronauts to get hurt but this isn’t NASA’s risk to accept or mitigate.

I haven’t heard of or cared about long distance calls in over 20 years. I also still have the same phone number I had 20 years ago despite moving to six states and overseas once. If there was only one pipe or doesn’t really matter if there is a screen or not. If the pipe had a cover she would have still been stuck on the bottom and no one likely would have been able to get her out of the water. What is the solution to outrageous rent that doesn’t involve the government providing more rent subsidies that simply funnel public money into the hands of property owners? That solution encourages property owners to raise rent because the government will increase subsidies to cover the difference.
