This is only local jails, which makes sense as people are waiting trial then move on to long term prison.

The increase should be capped at inflation. Currently mine go up 10% every year. I pay more in tax than I ever paid in rent. I’ll have to buy a tent in another decade at this rate.
They’d be starving after waiting for 3 days.
And there is a service fee!
It happened to me at the urologist. They were taking the piss!
In the short term it really helps productivity, but in the end the reward for working faster is more work. Just doing the hard parts all day is going to burn developers out.
This leads to weird bugs when you change indentation and miss a line or reorder lines. The logic changes. Not too bad when you’re on your own, as Python seems to be intended for. Add multiple developers and git merges and it is a recipe for disaster. With end tags at least you just end up with poorly formatted working code.
I fear the change from monthly to annual only subscriptions is on the horizon
I’d love to see some stats on how many people use please and thank you in prompts.
This is the same as the argument that tall people need more leg room on a plane, and shouldn’t be charged to upgrade their seat. Or that someone with a bad back should be able to fly business for free.
Batteries don’t like the cold.
Apple and google should add location based parental control, in addition to the time based. A checkbox ‘in a school’ would be easy. Let parents disable things they don’t need like Netflix while leaving them with their emergency communication device.

Shutting every complaint down with ‘racist’, ‘fascist’, ‘nazi’ etc. is why far right parties are rising. It is time to stop acting like middle schoolers and allow people to voice concerns and have debate, lest they vote far right as the only alternative. Nobody wants that.
Even if we required video evidence, it would have a huge affect on the problem.
Some countries have an automatic year or two driving ban for drunk driving. It’s time we did this for phones.
It not that people are against everyone having the basics, it is that it mathematically makes no sense. As soon as you give everyone this money, not just a small trial you’ll see that it is immediately eaten in inflation, rent etc.
Much better is to make the first $1000 dollars not necessary. Free staple foods, free healthcare, free low tier usage on utilities, free local public transport.
Because car speedometers are not calibrated by law, and can be off a few percent. Changes in temperature can change tire radius as well.
After all that you then get into court proceeding of proving speed gun calibration has to be perfect.
Now he’s going to be on some kind of watch list!
Unless you live in one of the handful of close states, your vote red or blue makes no difference to the electoral college. Why give either of these your symbolic popular vote.
No 3rd party will win, but a rising 3rd party is competition that may at least raise an issue’s prominence or worry the main parties enough to pull their finger out and run better candidates.
I agree. The right to a speedy trial not being observed is an issue.
