I hope they didn’t pay more than a sack of onions.
I hope they didn’t pay more than a sack of onions.
Yes, and fuck this shit in particular:
A resolution adopted by the German Bundestag last week on curbing antisemitism and protecting Jewish life could negatively impact civil society and free expression in the country. (…) There are major concerns in Germany about the resolution, including from civil society, academics, Jewish artists and intellectuals, and lawyers. There are fears it will open up new avenues for abusive enforcement, further chill free expression, peaceful assembly, and free association, and risk stigmatizing migrant communities, while downplaying homegrown antisemitism in German society including from the far right. Sincerely, another German.
I’m not saying that European climate policy in recent decades hasn’t also been disastrous. I’m just tired of reading these whataboutism comments that try to shift the blame somewhere else instead of simply admitting responsibility for one’s own actions and decisions. This isn’t about national pride, which I generally consider to be dull-witted by the way, but about a future worth living.
Neither do I, because the US citizens elected Trump, who will both betray our friends in Ukraine and withdraw from the Paris climate agreement. These are just two of his future misdeeds, which are completely foreseeable. Thank you dear allies from the US, you are really very helpful.
Are you also relying on Europe to get its shit together when it comes to climate change? I think you still don’t understand how fucked the world is because US citizens did not get their shit together and voted for Trump.
If the Conservatives had their way, women would not be allowed to vote at all. Unfortunately, that still seems to be one of their goals. I mean, Trump and his henchmen have already made sure that women are no longer allowed to control their own bodies, which I have to admit I thought was impossible in a Western country. What makes you think they’re going to leave it at taking away women’s right to a secret ballot? These people want to reverse advances in civilization like women’s right to vote all together. That’s what conservative means to them: back to the Middle Ages. In this sense, they are little different from other religious extremists such as the Taliban. Their goals might be a little different but their means are pretty much the same.
Probably not too many, but she seems to have landed a good job with this degree regardless.
Idk, but Disaster Girl has apparently made a good deal including a 10 percent cut on any future sales. Not that I think that this NFT has sold again for even near the original price but she will still get “royalties” from any additional sale for the looks of it. Good for her that she used this bubble in time.
I was wondering about that as well. We’ll probably never know. Anyway, I’m glad that her unwanted internet fame in this timeline hasn’t ruined her life and that she seems to have benefited from it instead - at least financially. That’s nice, because she really deserves to be compensated for the joy she brought to the internet over the years.
How time flies. Sorry to break it to you, but Disaster Girl is now 24 and apparently working as a Smart Cities & IoT Analyst at S&P Global. Somehow even Side-Eyeing Chloe is 13 by now…
Aha, this must be the “cabal” that these weird MAGA people are always rambling on about.
Well, people like this Girdusky are a joke. At least that much is certain.
Absolutely right. But the thing is that many so-called leaders will no longer have a raison d’être if there are no more unnecessary meetings and all that fuss. Many of them do nothing all day but sit in meetings, achieve nothing and still feel very important. That’s the misery of the world of work: it’s not usually the best who get into management positions, it’s not the most qualified and certainly not the ones who work the hardest. It’s the most unscrupulous, those who pass off the work of others as their own, people who would never achieve anything on their own or in a small company that can’t afford to waste salaries on froth-mongers. LinkedIn makes it clear how this all works, I think: there, too, it is not the competent people who really understand their work who have the most success, it is the busybodies, the networkers and narcissists. If the competent people set the tone, there would be no discussion about office duties in an IT company. It’s only held on to so that managers can live out their fantasies of omnipotence and post nonsense on LinkedIn.
Don’t clog the toilets. It’s not the c-suites who have to clean that up.
LinkedIn is nothing but shitposts for a long time.
Trump and all those who vote for him are aware that China is one of the most important sales markets for the EU, right?
I’m just trying to suggest a somewhat reasonable solution. I don’t think Israel could afford to keep this inhumane war going if they didn’t have the support of the US. Let us also not forget that it was radical right-wing Zionists who assassinated Yitzchak Rabin, the Israeli politician who first credibly promised peace in the region. What I want to say is this: Violence and hatred cannot be a solution - this only leads to more violence and more hatred, more misery and more suffering.
I did not frame this at all. I just quoted Biden and said that in the light of this quote from just a few days ago I couldn’t understand (“WTF”) why he is sending additional troops. Please don’t pin this on me. I get that you are trying to fight the good fight here (I agree that it would be awful for the whole world if Trump would win). I’m just saying that this is a bad move by Biden because deploying even more troops in support of Israel is not just morally wrong (that was my point as an observer from europe) it’s also very bad PR - that’s what I think at least, because I think the majority of sane Us-citizenens don’t want to have any part in the inhumane actions of the Israeli Government.
What misinformation? I said: Biden said he “criticizes” Israels attacks on UN peacekeepers and - still - he sends additional troops to Israel just a few day later. These are just facts.
I know, but why should someone other than Jones pay up? He has obviously put aside a lot of money that is due to those affected - he will make even more in the next trump turn. If he gets away with that and shows that it’s worthwhile to run a business as immoral as his, others will do exactly the same.
Edit: nvm, I forgot that Trump still owes the state of New York half a billion dollars for massive financial fraud that he will never pay because the US citizens elected him the next president. Well, too bad the US legal system doesn’t prosecute anyone personally - especially not with criminal charges. Sorry, I always wrongly assume that the US has a semi-functioning legal system. My bad.
