This kinda can be extended up until Monday, I know, but, at least in Germany, on Fridays people go home way sooner than other days.

I was thinking (from reading the headline) that if one specific component fails 15 times during boot or so, it will just automatically get disabled by the system, so that you don’t run into an unavoidable boot loop.
But this makes sense as well, if they did write “up to” in the article (as others have stated). Even though I find the confidence weird. Imagine you have some weird dial-up or satellite internet solution for your system, which just needs time to connect, and then maybe also just provide a few bytes/kilobytes per second. This must be rare, but I’m 100% confident that there exists a system like this :D

But by not sharing anything, you’d loose users who don’t want to sign up for each instance individually. I think it would be a good way to be able to sign up once on one instance and then being able to use all other instances available, but the chats etc of one instance being private to the instance itself.

I’m still kind of sceptical about this. You could always install custom apps onto your iPhone as long as you had a Mac and you had the source. I’m imagining that you now still need everything, except that you can install packaged apps. I’d love if it was different/like on android, but the past has shown us that big companies often know their ways around.
Well, it could just be a temporary plateau and later could continue to rise still. Even a plateau is better than a continuous rise I guess, but doesn’t mean that it’ll decrease only from now on :)

I was all in for social distancing and so on for the time when covid was new and we didn’t have vaccines etc., but it also did a lot of damage to young people, me somewhat included. That idea has a good intention, but it will do more damage in other sectors than it does good in that sector.

We need to change how power distribution works. That’s just the point. There are easy ways to store power that’s generated by day. And since we don’t just focus on one single renewable energy source, it’s not even half as bad as you’re drawing the picture here.
Edit: since this is my only comment in here, I also want to point out that the chart is rising last year, I think/hope that it will continue rising. (Until CDU steps in again because people think “Hey there last years were so terrible, everything got more pricy and so on, that’s definitely on SPD, green, FDP, not just a random situation in the Ukraine” and vote for them…)

Where are we talking about installing malware? This could be implemented by the os itself, like many other similar things in the last years as well (password storage, covid nearby activity, …). The os could just ask the user to verify his age by identity card or similar, would then store a flag after verification and a browser -> website can access this.
The only problem I see with this, if there is no verification on the other side, you could “just” have a browser which tells the website that the user is adult, no matter what, or, if it’s more dedicated, could even use a modified version of Linux to always have the flag set, haha.
I wouldn’t say I was a fanboy, but I liked him before … I don’t know, he was always crazy. These days he’s even more crazy and I’m not touching anything he does.
