I am being critical because the USA, which has supported multiple dictators in the global south that have done far worse than Maduro, not excusing his actions, just pointing out the fact that the country is suffering under sanctions and a dictator. While the USA would be turning a blind eye if Maduro was a puppet of the United States.

My guy you said Venezuela is poor because Maduro is lining his pockets, while that is a falsehood, Venezuela is poor because of US sanctions and the fact that they operate a single resource economy extremely reliant on the price of Oil.

My guy, the reason they aren’t rich is because of US embargoes on their oil. The type of oil they produce is dirty and extremely expensive to refine, The US is the closest trading partner with refining capabilities that their crude oil requires.

I mean the article is about how the USA is trying to avoid products made by slave labor, while we have products made by US slave labor on every grocery store shelf…

Bruh, I’ve writen letters to him, been to multiple protests in D.C., and have called my Congressman multiple times (who already wants to stop the Genocide). You cant convince liberals to do a damn thing they dont want to do, but that won’t stop me from doing everything in my power to prevent a candidate that literally moved the Israeli embassy to Israel and would support their Genocide even harder than Biden already does. You will never convince democrats to do anything that weakens the USA’s Capitalist empire. Voting for the lesser of 2 evils still results in less evil in the world, and no systemic change will ever occur at the ballot box, the fact that some thinks that’s possible and should be held over other’s heads shows how out of touch they are with Material Conditions.
