OP, treat yourself to using https://freetubeapp.io/ on desktop. It is in my opinion at least a much better experience than YT via web browser ever was.
Fuck spez!!
Might I suggest using syncthing instead? Never broke once for me and have been using it for years. Not had a conflicts either, as you can choose wether that happens or not in syncthing.
Isn’t this an old thing by now? Pretty sure tabs that are not used for X amount of time are put to “sleep”.
The platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus),[3] sometimes referred to as the duck-billed platypus,[4] is a semiaquatic, egg-laying mammal endemic to eastern Australia, including Tasmania. The platypus is the sole living representative or monotypic taxon of its family Ornithorhynchidae and genus Ornithorhynchus, though a number of related species appear in the fossil record.
Together with the four species of echidna, it is one of the five extant species of monotremes, mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young. Like other monotremes, the platypus senses prey in cloudy water through electrolocation. It is one of the few species of venomous mammals, as the male platypus has a spur on the hind foot that delivers an extremely painful venom.
Your comment reminded me of this video, highly worth a watch : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=si9Phc9ArpU
Yiikes the comments there are so toxic its crazy. Glad I’ve got those instances blocked.
Happy to hear!
Yup, tried it for a week straight now on both desktop and android, and although a great application, it isn’t quite ready for me to transfer to it fully at least. But defo keeping a close eye on the development 😊
Welp, defo good insights you’re sharing - thanks 👍
Glad to hear, thanks for sharing. Hopefully they have plans for (non-electron based) desktop apps in the future 🙌
I’d argue Firefox is the descent alternative.
There are a plethora of sources out there of good reasons not to use these browsers. But seriously, Firefox is an excellent browser, treat yourself to better privacy 🦊
Most games are compatible, you can also check https://protondb.com/ for each game, how people play it and how they run it. It’s a very neat website!
About the jump: Do it now, and you’ll thank yourself later. I did it with no prior experience myself and didn’t find it difficult at all tbh, as previous comment suggested, try Mint first of you’re afraid. And if you want an easy to use one that also focus on a bit of gaming then try PopOS! Don’t let the amount of choices discourage or confuse you, just pick one and go with it. Feel free to message me if you ever need any help 🌻
From what I know they were perfectly aware of the situation but did little about it… So thats a red flag. But yeah, there is a lot more to this, and that one source doesn’t cover it all, and is another source that shills certain VPNs themselves, hence why I said its not a great source itself. I can edit in some additional sources that are worth reading regarding the case when I get home.
But imo, there isn’t a single good reason to use ExpressVPN, instead of Mullvad, IVPN or ProtonVPN.
There are a lot of different things, I suggest to look it up for the accurate details. However the most sketchy thing is that it’s owned by Kape Technologies, previously known Crossrider something… Who helped distribute malware through their frameworks. On top of that, one of the employees have had connections to the UAE, and got caught, but still works there…???
That’s just the gist, and it’s some crazy stuff… Any VPN owned by Kape Technologies you should stay far away from.

(yes restoreprivacy isn’t a great source either, but it sums it up well enough)
Warp is one that’s coming to Linux this month, that I will personally give a try as it looks promising. https://warp.dev
Absolutely, totally worth the 7 euros nonetheless!
Why can’t all github projects just include some screenshots of what their features are…
Don’t know about this, have never done it myself - but i assume so?
