It’s mostly because of media lies to the general public, and also because there have been some really sad OD’s at these festivals, especially in my region of NSW, which is Northern Rivers/Rainbow Region. The cops here also go after teenagers on escooters tons.
I agree with legalising all the natural psychedelics like weed and mushrooms, but I think you shouldn’t be able to just snort 3 lines of hard stuff and then go drive like a nutjob, and harass people/be a nuisance.
Are you from Aus or have dealt with cops here? If not, read this please: Cops in Australia are not the same as american ones. NSW gave their cops the ability to do this because the media fed them lies about what was going on, and many were scared of legitimate threats, especially with firebombing etc. You aren’t from here and don’t need to tell us this.
