I mean, yeah. He can’t gnaw through his own limb to save himself from the bear trap. And if the democrats were less supportive of Israel, it would be an easier choice. It’s natural for him to blame them fully, because he doesn’t want to blame himself. I don’t see this as crazy logic, he’s just in an incredibly difficult emotional state.
It’s a Sophie’s choice and he’s blaming the democrats for making their side of the choice unappealing. It’s a double standard, but that’s just because everyone expects republicans to be anti Muslim. He expected democrats to be on his side in a meaningful way and they weren’t.
It was not as easy as it could be, come on. Nobody wants to vote with Dick Cheney. They swung hard to the right and muddled it for people. It would be great if people were able to keep their eyes on the ball, but they couldn’t. Politicians should be generally aware of their potential supporters’ priorities, and there’s been a clear misstep here.
Bad, but I found this. It may be a translation issue, but it seems significantly less spiteful and more regretful than I how read your description.
I do get it, it’s like getting a limb caught in a bear trap and not chewing through it. Sure, we’d all hope we would do it and know that it’s the best chance of survival, but it’s not easy to do. I’m not confused, just sad, worried and tbh, a little angry at the democrats. They could have made this an easier choice for us, and they might have won. I’m also angry at people who didn’t vote for Harris, but I really can’t understand how difficult it is for people like Abed Hammoud, so I’m going to save my anger more for the people who voted for trump
But do you want that document published now in the world we live in today?
The production details for nuclear weapons are on a government document.
That’s a pretty extraordinary claim, do you happen to remember any information about the group or radio show?
He’s not getting rid of them though, because he’s a maroon (thank god). He’s just pissing them off and giving them more free time.
Which to be fair, is pretty fucking funny. I’m mad at how tickled I am by the taliban digging at trump.
Since then, she said, she has heard from “thousands and thousands” of other parents who had become disillusioned with what she described as “the fascism of the Democratic party,” such as “mandatory vaccines or maybe medication down the road.” she said. “We already have mandatory chemotherapy that kids have to get—you can get your kid taken away from you if you don’t give them chemo if they have cancer.”
Regarding the vaccines: they’re mandatory for spending time with other children, which is reasonable, as it’s the only way to protect children with suppressed immune systems from communicable diseases while in places like schools.
Regarding the mandatory chemo: Christian scientists ruined it for you, I’m sorry. We can’t trust parents to act in the best interests of the children in their care, because a bunch of parents refused things like tetanus shots and antibiotics, and children died for no good reason. A possible solution would be to have the patient’s doctors decide with input from the parent (s) and patient themselves, but I suspect that would go over even worse.
Is she not eligible for citizenship through her husband?
Yeah, I just think there’d be unexpected and violent consequences
Vance and Johnson are right there behind him though. I don’t know that they’d just watch that happen, and I don’t trust that the propaganda machine that just gave the other branches of government to the republicans wouldn’t also lead to a massacre of any politicians left of (somehow, literally) dick Cheney
I deeply, desperately hope you’re right. In the best case, the military (including the nuclear arsenal) gets as hollowed out as russias before that realization comes.
Just fyi, it’s “sweep it under the rug.” Swiping is a doing small motion, used mostly for smart phones and sleight of hand, whereas sweeping can be a much larger motion, and often involves a broom or a careless aspect. My husband has the best non-native English I’ve ever heard from someone who didn’t live in an anglophone country as a kid, and he cannot keep those two and swab straight, so I’d consider it a pretty easy mistake to make :)
They can legally also do it while working, though. It’s their car and they’re not an employee, so Uber certainly can’t tell them not to. I guess I don’t really see what you’re trying to say: do you want him to not be allowed to pray while working, or do you just think it’s a dick move? If the latter, do you think it’s reasonable to pepper spray him for it?
I’ve got misophonia, and sometimes people make sounds that make me super uncomfortable. In an Uber- style situation, I tend to just politely ask them not to (unless it’s a breathing sound, in which case I just try to distract myself)), which has never not worked.
But why? What if this dude feels personally called to speak with god for several hours a day? I’d consider Uber a fairly adaptable job that works for that.
There’s a difference between weird and bad. Is it weird to pray aloud in front of others? A little, I guess, but that’s not a reason that he shouldn’t do it and it doesn’t make it bad.
It’s treated differently because it is a different predictor of violence. I’m not a violent person (but, like most people, I could be brought to assault a person under the right circumstances), so as long as someone’s not terrorizing me or someone else, I probably won’t get violent. That’s not a big risk, but if all it took for me to get violent was someone exercising a different religion in front of me, I’d be a much bigger societal risk.
Well no, you meant what you meant! I just didn’t realize what you were trying to say, it happens :)
Does it matter?
