I’m not defending this, but this is an extremely common practice in the US.

You forgot the pop-ups, forced midi music, easily injected malware, difficulty in verifying sources, html frames that frequently broke, the entire concept of needing a site map, fucking keywords, true banner ads that could force clicks with Javascript, and RealPlayer to name a few. I don’t miss it at all.
The one time I’ve had an alcohol delivery come up, it was a case of beer from Walgreens at like 9 pm. I got there and the store was uncharactrtistically closed. I can only imagine how pissed they were finding that out.
IRC is still very much around.
It isn’t only tips. I opt to be paid by time + tips. In my area it is $18.50 per hour driven with tips. I average about $25-$28 per hour. The real issue is that getting to the point where you can just go work whenever you want is really rough because there isn’t always a spot available.
They really made it, but I don’t think they ever actually put it on the market.
Give them a low rating, then. Hardly anyone leaves ratings, and a 1 star could easily tank them below the 4.2 rating they need to avoid their account being deactivated. I’ve done over 600 runs and only 35 have left any kind of rating, for example. Super easy to tank the average.
Just as a clarification (not a defense) from someone that drives for DoorDash - every time the driver picks up a pizza order, they are required to provide photo proof that they own a pizza bag. I’m not saying this forces drivers to use them, but they have to upload different pics of their pizza bags sometimes with every pickup.
Edit: autocorrect
I have a horrible feeling that this kid is going to wind up like Kevin Mitnick.
Chicken coops have a ramp for the entrance, so when building it, you need to know the length of the ramp required for the desired angle, as well as making the"rungs" (I don’t know what they are actually called) on said ramp flush with the ground.
I use all three every single day as a machinist xD
That true. But the coaches? The coaches make insane money.
I agree with the sentiment here, but there are incredibly good schools with high profile/high earning teams.
The least compressed Pikachu in existence, everyone.
This article is missing some stuff I’d really like to know. How long did this 1,000 km trip take? How often did they have to stop? What was the average range per day? All of the specs that would be great to know are missing here.
It was developed and abandoned, but The Rubicon comes to mind.
I have used privacy.com for this in the past. Don’t know if there are better options.
How else are you supposed to boil wine?
