I switched to running docker inside wsl2 (installed as per their docs) and so far it’s been working well.
121·3 months agoStorage is an unsolved problem in 2024. NIMBY and some old storage facilities are failing, a problem for our kids to solve and pay for. I’m a nuclear proponent or I used to be one, but this ship has sailed for good.
I used my 5900x for over 3 years without a hiccup (months of uptime) when suddenly an update completely wrecked my idle stable. I think I figured it out, but yeah a happy AMD customer with the occasional “Why isn’t shit stable out of the box”
Now Intel… Hahahaha guys I think you got screwed :/ time to lawyer up.
102·4 months agoThe last time I had to send 30 Euro to someone, I had to pay 5 Euro for gas fees. It used to be even worse. Your statements are bullshit, we all know what the usual use cases are (other than speculation)

This has probably nothing to do with the browser in this case. YT is A/B testing this, which makes reproduction harder as they slowly roll it out.
I was considering getting a mirrorless camera and a compact lens setup for traveling with my family. After a week of researching I stayed with my phone. It’s a huge pita (especially once you consider post processing) and the only situations where you will really need one is low light or evening pictures, and nature photography.
So no, hauling a dslr and 3kg of lens is not really a solution, especially with a kid in one arm. My phone is several years old (Oneplus 7 Pro) and the only thing I wish it had was modern camera and software to match.
Did you miss the fact that it’s not a blanket ban on Russians? If you work for a sanctioned company, then I’m sorry but you are out. Missed the chance to jump ship in the last twenty years of Putin turning Russia into a dictatorship? Well, I hope you like being sent to your death. Sad times, but let’s not pretend that this is discrimination.
