  • He is, I don’t know what you are on about. He has to actively fight the active flood of news, social media, and propaganda that says men are terrible and that if you don’t bow at the alter of Kamala Harris then you are a racist, misogynistic, homophobe. I guess all those married white women, black and Hispanic men are now all racist, misogynistic, and homophobic.

Or…. Working class people are tired of having their intelligence insulted and life put at risk so that upper class trust fund babies can complain about pronouns, because that’s whose vote the democrats tried to win over. I watched the debate, followed Kamala on social media and all I know about her positions are “Trump is stupid”, “Tariffs are bad”, “pronouns are important”. And people are suffering and struggling to buy eggs. maybe don’t throw your voter base under the bus to highlight the importance of drag queen story hour and Kamala would have won. Or…… maybe the dems could fucking learn to hold an actual primary and democratically elected their party nominee. Kamala is unlikeable and even more unrelatable. A Bay Area upper class woman with a “holier than thou” attitude would have lost to the pile of dog shit in my back yard. A blue collar worker in North Carolina doesn’t want to be told that he is an idiot because he misgendered Demi Lovato and couldn’t possibly understand the struggle they/them have been through as they try to shut down another small business for no reason in their multi-million dollar home in California.

The department of education provides funding and some guidance. How do they provide this funding? Based on test scores and student success. The department came about in 1980 and since has overseen the. Largest decrease in American literacy. The main reason is because they made schools “teach the test” in order to secure funding. While the roots of our modern education system go farther back to “create obedient factory workers” we have seen it erode even further under the DoE. Want to know when college prices started to grow out of control? Wow, surprise it directly correlates with the DoE starting to fund student loans! Broken clock right twice a day, blah, blah, blah

  • Kamala Harris state has the lowest test scores in the United States as well as the lowest literacy rates, I don’t think education is going to change that much. Public school education in America is just a glorified baby sitting gig, it’s trash and will remain trash. Those who are lucky enough to go to college and get a real degree will be the only beneficiaries of American education

  • Interesting comment on the Mac. At my workplace we can choose between Mac or Windows (no Linux option unfortunately, my personal computer runs Debian). Pretty much all the principle and senior devs go for Mac, install vim, and live in the command line, and I do the same. All the windows people seem over reliant on VSCode, AI apps, and a bunch of other apps Unix people just have cli aliases for and vim shortcuts. I had to get a loaner laptop from work for a week and it was windows. Tried using powershell and installing some other CLI tools and after the first day just shut the laptop and didn’t work until I got back from travel and started using my Mac again.

I want to get rid of this shit so bad, of another junior dev submits a shit MR they can’t explain because they had chatGPT write it I’m going to explode. Also, the number of AI executives we have in charge of our manufacturing company is somehow more than we have in charge of manufacturing, and guess what?! They are all MBAs who haven’t written a god damn line of code in their life but have become professional “prompt engineers”.
