Someone else in the comments mentioned it is about 40% faster than the AVX-2 code and slightly more than twice as fast as the SSE3 code. That’s still a nice boost, but hopefully no one was relying on the radically slow unoptimized baseline.

It’s implied and repeated several times in the ToS.
Not to be confused with what happens when you ask Oracle a question. Their answer is always “give me a shitload of money”.
We’ll see about that… John’s Pass in Pinellas county was created about 130 years around from a major hurricane. It is entirely possible that significant portions of the most prized water front property in that area won’t be able to be built on or will take years of bulldozing of all those huge resorts and condos to make it possible to build.
I don’t hate all bots, I hate this bot specifically because:
Bullshit. This bot doesn’t identify itself as a bot and doesn’t rate limit itself to anything that would be an appropriate amount. We were seeing more traffic from this thing that all other crawlers combined.
We’ve had this thing hammering our servers. The scraper uses randomized user-agents browser/OS combinations and comes from a number of distinct IP ranges in different datacenters around the world, but all the IPs track back to Bytedance.
They generally aren’t trustworthy overall, but many of those lists that have decent suggestions are just stolen content from more legit sources that don’t SEO farm and get buried in search engine results.
From what I understand, the newest version of Element X paired with Matrix 2.0 will now support voice/video without using jitsi.
Very low bandwidth or resource usage would be some advantages, less so since they made in this java heh.
Check out Quod Libet, it is my current favorite.
Even in the unlikely event that Elon did get a colony going on Mars, he’d be like Cohaagen from Total Recall, but worse.
Turbo Pascal was great and a big step up over what you could do with BASIC. Good luck with C++.
Man I love that old Atari art.
Isn’t that first artwork from the Atari BASIC book cover? I suffered enough with BASIC on my TI-99 and IBM XT, I can’t imagine how rough the Atari version was.
I know it should be obvious and maybe I missed the sarcasm, but the teaspoon unit is in no way the same as an actual teaspoon utensil. I also don’t use my own feet to measure length.
Thanks, so it is probably hit and miss on that feature, but I’d also probably rarely use it. I still might pick this up as it looks very cool.
I used to use Mortplayer on Android for years which played FLACs and used folders well. I don’t know the current state of the app, but it might be worth looking into.
Ok, wait, so this thing also works as an actual cassette? That’s so hilariously awesome I might get it purely for that gimmick.
The initial reports of this made it sound much worse, now it seems so tame this charge borders on ludicrous. I walked about 2 miles to my bus stop as a kid with no side walk and it was ABSOLUTELY unsafe, but we didn’t have a choice as the roads were no outlet and too narrow for a bus to get into my neighborhood. I never saw a kid get hit, but I knew of multiple adults that were hit by a car with a few fatalities. I still think this Georgia story sounds dumb, so either we’re being deprived of details or the police are being ridiculous.
