    The US has a lot of notable places that are named after other countries. Headlines can get confusing at times! Lol

      Columbia and Colombia are two different words. Look similar and are often pronounced the same by Americans, but the country does not have a ‘u’ in it.

        True, but “there”, “their”, and “they’re” are 3 different words, but that doesn’t stop people from using them interchangeably! Lol
