    It’s insane that a country whose economy is 1/8th that of California alone and whose population is 35x smaller has the US by the balls in this way.

      For some context, California has the fourth or fifth largest economy in the world when compared to nations.

      So seems a bit misleading to compare it to that particular state. Unless you were doing it for effect

        Israel has a similar population and GDP to Michigan (and a similar land area to New Hampshire).

        Despite being a swing state, Michigan has nowhere near as much influence over US national policy.

        For sure, though I could use 14 States as examples that are larger. Not even counting all the foreign aid we give to Israel in the first place — it’s just absurd we have to kiss their ass so much partly because of AIPAC.

      Between Israel militarily, Russia politically, and China economically, it’s a wonder we are still even asked to vote.
