IIRC Sriracha had an exclusive provider for their peppers as they provided a unique taste to it. The company then decided to demand lower prices from the farmers causing them to have a falling out. The sauce was unavailable for a long while and when it was brought back it no longer tasted the same, at least IMO. I still eat it occasionally but not as much as before.
Iirc the guy that farmed the original sirracha peppers makes his own hot sauce now with them after the falling oot- tastes exactly like the old sirracha, just under a different name.
He’s getting the US into a sriracha situation for sure
I’m so curious, what do you mean?

Yeah I’m imagining this falling out ends up with us offering another country good rates on purchasing our stuff.
Is THAT why the flavor is so different now??? I never knew! I used to love Sriracha but now it tastes synthetic and unpleasant.

Yep. Underwood Ranches. You can buy it from their site directly or on Amazon. It’s good stuff.
Yeah it’s really fucking funny.
