    If is was a government military group would they be treated any different?

      Yes, because then it would be a recognized war between countries and Israel could seek other measures of retaliation. As it stands, Hezbollah gets to use a whole country as a human shield against things like international sanctions. Right now the only sanctions on Lebanon are for weapons, because other sanctions would lead to an even more massive humanitarian problem with how shit a state the country is in.

      It’s one of the worst countries in the world right now. It lost 90% of its economic output since 2019 and something like 85% of the population is living below the poverty line.
