President Trump said on Thursday that he will give Mexico a break on tariffs — the latest twist in his on-again, off-again approach to the issue that has sent markets into a tailspin.

    Foolish bully.

If you accept his shit he will try and get away with more.

The people most at risk from this moron are the American people themselves. They appear to be accepting most of it. They didn’t lock him up, instead they voted him into power.

(Sorry Americans, I don’t want to be inflammatory for the sake of it. I do like those of you I have known irl.)

Even if the vote was not tampered with, only 22% of the US population voted for him. The majority don’t want him, and even those that voted for him are quickly realizing the mistakes they made.

The problem now, is the country doesn’t really have a playbook for how to deal with this. Impeachment is meaningless as the DoJ has to actually press charges and never has. The Supreme Court is a useless pile of corrupt shit. We’ve not degraded far enough yet for the military to justify removing him from power, which I don’t believe has ever been tested before.

Couple that with a tepid Democratic party that thinks if they just sit there in pink and hold up signs, somehow some magic law faerie will come down and fix things instead of taking any kind of action. It’s a cocktail of fail.

The one thing that orange bloated idiot does well, is do things that are off-script.

Individual citizen protest is made difficult by the sheer size of the country and that everyone’s healthcare is bound to employment.

Yeah I said in another post that the Americans I have known irl have been great. I love America’s contribution to stuff like music and literature, and the arts generally. And I take your point it is a minority.

But this oligarchy has taken a while to build but it wasn’t stopped. And I do think this is a watershed moment for the US and Europe, BRICS and the dollar. I think we are entering a global economy that reflects the multi-polar world we actually have.

As a Brit, whose economy is 50 - 100 years past being the global reserve currency, I think the people most likely to suffer over the long term are Americans, after everyone suffers the coming short-term instability.

This total breakdown in cooperation happening just as we roll straight past climate change’s last chance saloon (to butcher a couple of metaphors) is an even bigger disaster. Some of us ‘doomers’ are being proven right. I’d rather not be.

Impeachment doesn’t require the DOJ. We would Just need the house to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate. Regardless the house is mainly controlled by Rs so I doubt they would impeach, and the Senate is also Republican controlled meaning Trump wouldn’t even be removed if he was impeached

It’s not getting a lot of coverage, but there is a lot of data to support that this election was firmly stolen and Americans did not choose him. Trump ranting about stolen elections for a decade made it so Democrats are timid to send the same accusations back, worried of being considered flip-floppers after years of claiming our elections are “super duper secure, I’m super cereal.”

Of course, some of us remember similar from 2004, so the idea that our elections have been secure has been a joke for a while. A falsity the Democrats stood on to justify “faith in the system.”

But yeah, most Americans I deal with on the daily are uneducated fucking morons. So you, know, I also don’t put it past these fucking idiots.

Finally, nobody remembers any of the “good” people in Germany during Hitler’s rise to power as anything but “Nazis” and we Americans will fare no differently. That certainly isn’t your fault.

Honestly, I’ve been hearing this a lot of reddit and it feels like Russian disinformation to get liberals/Democrats to throw their own stupid Jan 6.

Post some reliable evidence, and an actual reason why Democrats aren’t talking about this reliable information and I may be convinced. Democrats and Kamala would be the people to champion this information if it were valid since they lost power due to the “cheating”. The fact that they haven’t said anything tells me it’s probably not real.

I know that eminent computer scientists wrote to I think Harris a couple of years back voicing their concerns over the security of voting machines.

I think the Democrats are as done as a credible political force as the Republicans are.

I mean Trump backed down from Mexico upon the mere threat of retaliation to come on Sunday. Sheinbaum is stronger than Trump the felonious con artist could ever be.

It’s far from over, because it appears to me that Canadian and Mexican governments are both aiming for a more permanent resolution. I think they should stay closely co-ordinated. In the meantime…

¡Que Viva La Presidenta! ¡Que Viva México!

IMO I can only assume trump is setting up for rich stock traders… basically to have pump and dump wavey markets.

By threatening total economic collapse… postponing it at the last second. It’s literally making the stock market a roller coaster. of which it will rise somewhat when postponed, fall when the date gets close… people could make a killing buying at the bottoms and selling at the ups.
