Alternate Headline: Fascist Regime Attempts To Intimidate Federal Judges By Arresting And Releasing One

Fascism is here friends. Arm yourselves. Help arm others. Train. Help train others.

Peaceful protest against law enforcement snatching people in the street without any form of justification and sending them to death camp abroad does not work much either.

Damn, this is sad to say because I want to agree with you but from my understanding of history, fascism doesn’t ever end without violence.

Murdering people is not the answer.

You are stupid if you think that’s what is implied here. Your way of thinking, is what allows fascism to take power.

Maybe an overexaggeration, but maybe not…

If fascism does play out, and eventually “they come for me” because I am among one of the most hated minorities in the world (atheist). I will be armed. My only goal will be to take out at least one of the cops before they inevitably kill me. I’m not dying in some el Salvador or Rwandan torture prison. I only hope I’m prepared and have the courage to pull the trigger if the time comes.

Get armed. Learn how to use it.

It’s a little known fact that the Nazis were turned back at Stalingrad by a weekend protest full of clever chants and picket signs.

Did some politicians hold up signs while the Nazis laid out a fascist plan in a government meeting? That’ll stop em!

Fascists aren’t people. They’re rabid animals whose hunger for power and control cannot be satiated.

trump sentiment has been to call for a civil war for years. I think it’s part of his plan to grab full power over it.

So self defense yes, murder squads no

Very much correct. It will be a bloodbath if that is the direction this goes. We need to bankrupt the people that are the face of this.

The point of being armed is that you increase the cost of fascist goons carrying out the street level orders of the fascist leader. Do you love freedom enough?

Economic protests are important, but they are only one tool. On their own, they fail to stop anything.

Dugan is accused of escorting the man and his lawyer out of her courtroom through the jury door last week after learning that immigration authorities were seeking his arrest.

Lady: You’ve got bailiffs. You’ve got the entire damn police force and courthouse staff at your disposal. Send the defendant into your quarters and tell him to lock the door, wait for ICE to come in the courtroom, raise your voice tell them to leave your courtroom, find them in contempt when they don’t, and send them for three days. Tell the court staff to grab them. If they fight back, fuck it, game on, sounds good.

I’m glad she’s trying to protect the rights of her defendant, and the agents who “arrested” her should clearly be in prison. She did good, no mistake. But I think she has a lot more leverage than she was acting with if she wants to decide to protect defendants. Trying to be sneaky about it is just going to feed into their narrative. There’s a reason they cover their faces and try to snatch people quick and get out of the area. They know they’re vulnerable. Feed into that.

I think it’s more that they don’t know what the fuck to do in this unprecedented situation and just defaulted to submitting to the “higher” authority.

At the end of the day, they were probably just thinking of themselves and not wanting to be arrested.

Maybe. Maybe not. A lot of cops aren’t happy about Trump pardoning everyone for assaulting the Capitol police, and violating everything they’ve been trained on how they need to do things in terms of “arresting” immigrants using ICE. She’s in Wisconsin, so maybe you’re right, but I still feel like her directly upholding the law using the position she has to tell bailiffs what to do would have been a better play. If they want to ignore direct orders from a judge, at least let’s get that out there, and then we can figure out what to do at that point.

The truth is I’m just doing armchair analysis when I have no idea of the situation. That’s how I see it though.

Charges weren’t dropped. Neither the judge nor the prosecution sought detention, so she is just out until the next hearing happens (May 15th).

      From: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/milwaukee-judge-hannah-dugan-charged-with-2-federal-felonies-in-ice-case/ar-AA1DCrnR

On April 25, Dugan appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephen C. Dries during a brief hearing in a packed courtroom at the federal courthouse. Dugan, wearing a black dress with white flowers, made no public comments during the brief hearing.

At the hearing, Dries asked if prosecutors were seeking detention, and they said they were not. He answered that he did not believe that the charges were “eligible” for detention.

As it ended, her attorney, Craig Mastantuono, told the court: “Judge Dugan wholeheartedly regrets and protests her arrest. It was not made in the interest of public safety.”

Dugan made her federal court appearance a little more than two hours after she was arrested at the county courthouse at about 8 a.m. April 25.

The article didn’t explicitly state it, but she was probably released on her own recognizance. (In other words, she pinky-swore to come back for her trial).

Bail is just a tactic to compel the person to come back to court and face their charges by forcing them to pay a fee which they don’t get back unless they show up. This lady is a judge. She is unlikely to disappear before her court date, because it would affect all the cases she is in charge of.

Because of course it’s meritless bullshit meant to smear. They’re sending FBI agents to deal with this ICE shit and it’s making agents resign. Not sure if it’s been reported yet. Just heard something through the grapevine. It’s not their damn jobs and it only serves to lend credence to a bullshit propaganda narrative so the cult will think it’s real. Forcing people to implicate themselves in lawlessness is an organized crime tactic. It forces those who can’t stomach it to out themselves and leave. Those who remain are confessing their willingness to continue to be lawless, even if they’re not actually willing but don’t want to quit and hand over all the keys to the mad king’s bad guys. This is how they dirty everybody.

Time to arrest the judge that released the judge that was arrested for shielding the immigrant awaiting trial from summary deportation.
